What goes on a vegetarian offering tray? Six sets at Hoan Hy

Memorial days, full-moon days, housewarmings... a proper vegetarian tray needs balance, not excess. Here is how Hoan Hy composes its six sets.
Preparing a vegetarian offering tray at home sounds simple, but anyone who has done it knows the catch: the dishes must balance each other, the tray must look generous, and the cook is usually also the person running everything else that day. That is why Hoan Hy prepares complete offering trays and banquet sets: order ahead, then pick up, or host the meal at the restaurant.
What a balanced tray needs
The common formula has five parts: a light roll or appetizer to open, a fresh salad, one or two rich mains for rice or noodles, a soup or hot pot for warmth, and something sweet to close. With those five, the tray looks full without repeating flavors.
All six Hoan Hy sets follow this frame: 7 to 8 courses each, from 700,000 to 800,000 VND, right for one offering tray or a table of 4 to 6.

Six sets, six well-wishes
The two 800,000 VND sets, An Nhien and Thinh Vuong, are 7-course menus built around a hot pot: An Nhien pairs a botanical hot pot with lemongrass-steamed oyster mushrooms, while Thinh Vuong pairs a spicy-sour hot pot with lettuce wraps. The four 700,000 VND sets, Cat Tuong, Nhu Y, Hoan Hi and An Khang, are 8-course menus around the house fried rices, with salads, soup and a sweet finish.
The names are not random: an nhiên (serenity), thịnh vượng (prosperity), cát tường (good fortune), như ý (as wished), hoan hỉ (joy) and an khang (wellbeing) are the blessings Vietnamese exchange on memorial days and holidays. Choose a tray, send a wish.
The restaurant also takes bookings for weddings, celebrations, birthdays and at-home banquets.
That note comes from Giác Ngộ newspaper's 2018 piece on Hoan Hy, and it still holds: beyond the six ready-made sets, you can call and have a tray composed around your guest count and budget.
How to order in time
Three steps: pick a set or ask for advice, call or message Zalo 1-2 days ahead, then pick up at the restaurant or order via GrabFood or ShopeeFood. On lunar 1st and 15th and at weekends the kitchen is at its busiest, so the earlier you book, the safer. Branch phone numbers and a two-month vegetarian-day calendar live on the Visit page.
